One man in Wales has been trying to excavate a landfill since 2013 to find a hard drive with 8,000 BTC on it. That's roughly 666,000 BLTs sitting in a garbage dump. Lost coins actually make remaining Bitcoin more scarce — and more valuable. Every lost coin is a sandwich that will never be eaten. The menu just got smaller.
